Our Sona Masuri Rice, sourced from the Tungabhadra irrigated lands of Karnataka, is 100% pesticide-free.
The paddy (from which rice is made) is cultivated by smallholder women farmers without any synthetic pesticides and is irrigated by monsoon rains. This prevents the paddy from absorbing arsenic usually present in soil/groundwater.
We also age the paddy for 12 Months: this makes the rice absorb more water, and results in higher yield.
We test every batch of paddy we procure for 230+ pesticides and Arsenic in NABL accredited labs. You can easily avail these lab reports by scanning the QR code on the front of the pack and inputting the batch number on the rear.
Lastly, rice by its very nature is gluten-free.
